European Smart Cities for Sustainable Development

Ana Iolanda VODA, Lecturer Ph.D. Habil.
​Lecturer, Ph.D. Habil., at Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University (UAIC), with specific expertise on institutions and sustainable growth, innovation, entrepreneurship, and smart cities. She attended over 50 conferences worldwide (in Portugal, Spain, the Czech Republic, etc.), and published over 65 papers and several books/book chapters. She acquired expertise in project management as a team member of Jean Monnet Module Sustainable Education through European Studies for Young Researchers (SESYR) (587359-EPP-1-2017-1-RO-EPPJMO-MODULE). She also participated in several Erasmus+ staff training mobility in EU and non-EU countries and attended summer school courses within EuRComp Summer School, European Regional Competitiveness and Human Resource Development, organized by Jean Monnet Project and courses organized by Jean Monnet Chair- EU Financial Regulation Course. She currently teaches Organisational Management, Entrepreneurial Education, and SMEs Business Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi. As a teacher and researcher within the Jean Monnet Module, she will take care of teaching the following subjects: the potential of EU economies to attain sustained growth over the medium and long term, smart and inclusive growth, and fostering innovation and citizen engagement in smart city development.

Ana-Maria BERCU, Professor PhD Habil
​Currently, a habilitated professor starting in 2019 in the field of Administrative Sciences, Ph.D. in management since 2008 (with Very good rating) with specific expertise in economics, especially in industrial relations and management of labor relations in the European space. She has taught courses on European studies in economic education (BA and MA), since 2001. She is Jean Monnet professor with expertise in the field of European studies, being the leader of the JM module EURCOMP (September 2014 – August 2017) and co-author for the volumes European Regional Competitiveness and Human Resource Development (2017) and European Civil Service and the Career Management of European Civil Servants (2013), coordinator and/or member of the scientific team for over 17 European projects, having experience in international teaching through Erasmus and Erasmus+ programmes and being a member of the European Centre of Excellence (within the Centre of European Studies) since 2009 and JM Chair EUFIRE (2016-2019). She has experience in international teaching activities (with students in France, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Republic of Moldova, Albania, Portugal, and Iceland) and has participated in international conferences, seminars, and workshops abroad. Research areas are regional competitiveness, human resources, and personnel strategies for European entrepreneurs, industrial relations, and management of labor relations in the EU.

As a teacher and researcher, she will take care of teaching the following subjects: industrial relations in the European Union, negotiation, strategies and policies in the EU, the legal framework of working conditions, training, and payroll and labor discipline.

Laura –Diana RADU, Asocc Prof.  PhD Habil
Assoc Prof, Ph.D. Department of Accounting, Business Information Systems and Statistics – Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" University of Iasi.  She holds a Ph.D. in accounting (the title of her thesis is Modelling of Accounting and auditing risk with Intelligence). The main fields of research are: smart city development, accounting information systems, agile project management, and green and sustainable information systems. Research outcomes:  1 book, 11 book chapters as author/co-author, 14 international or national projects, out of which, 2 as a project manager, 68 articles and studies published in the country and abroad (out of which papers published in journals like Symmetry - Impact factor 2,143, Sustainability IF 2,592, Transformation in Business & Economics IF 1,058), over 30 national and international conference participation.  She currently teaches Accounting Information Systems I and II, Agile Project Management, Software for Project Management, Information Systems Analysis, Office Information Systems, Business Information Systems, and Expert Systems in Accounting at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi.
